With the summer holiday around the corner, I asked my GO friend Audrey where she was working this season. The moment I heard she was at Club Med Kiroro Grand, I booked my trip without hesitation.
Before my arrival, Follie from the Front Office kindly emailed me detailed transportation information, which was incredibly helpful. In the end, I took a taxi from Otaru Station, and the journey took only about 20 minutes. It's very convenient, though I would recommend saving your taxi driver's phone number, as getting a taxi for the return trip can sometimes be difficult.
The biggest surprise came at check-in: the CDV was Zack! This was already my third time staying at a village managed by him. Even better, I recognized many familiar GOs from previous visits. It instantly felt like coming home.
The resort itself is beautiful, with huge outdoor spaces and pleasantly cool weather even in the middle of summer. There are several tennis courts, football fields, and plenty of activities to choose from.
This time we joined hiking, yoga, and, most memorably, Mountain Board. It's a activity that feels a bit like snowboarding, except you're riding on grass instead of snow. It's definitely something everyone should try. K, the instructor from Japan, was an excellent teacher and made the experience both safe and enjoyable.
The yoga sessions were equally impressive. The instructor Matthew was very professional, and I attended a meditation class where I learned several techniques for relaxing and entering a mindful flow state. It was a completely new and rewarding experience.
During my three-night stay, every evening show was fantastic. My favorite was undoubtedly the Radio Show, which has become Zack's team's signature performance. It perfectly captures the fun, energetic, and joyful spirit that makes Club Med so special. Our family laughed from beginning to end.
The acrobatic show was another highlight. The level of performance was simply outstanding. It was amazing to see Ron, who led our hiking activity during the day, and Jessie from the Teen's Club transform into talented acrobats at night. Together with the incredible acrobatics master Top, they delivered an unforgettable performance full of energy and excitement.
One of the best parts of staying at Club Med is always sharing meals, drinks, and conversations with the GOs. It was wonderful catching up with old friends like Audrey, Ida, Hafiz, Loic, Dolphin, and Jack, while also meeting many new friends including Doris, Lucky, Anan, Dogan, Daheen, Harry, Adly, Zoey and CoCo. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and full of positive energy.
Zack remains as funny as ever and continues to set an incredibly high standard for every show. Through conversations with the GOs, you can truly feel how close-knit and supportive the entire team is. That strong team spirit is what makes every stay at Club Med feel so warm and memorable.
A huge thank you to Zack and the entire GO team for another unforgettable holiday. I can't wait to come back and see everyone again!
